A corporate culture of sustainability is a source of competitive advantage in the long run with key focus on how water is to be managed as a shared resource and how local stakeholders can be more actively involved. “We would also like to thank Capital Governance. We could not have done it without your valuable support and resources to our management and staff,” added Mr Syahrial.
“We are honoured and humbled to be associated with MHAL and to see the group win this award. When we embarked on their sustainability reporting advisory work in 2017, we partnered with a most professional andcommitted team at MHAL, which enabled us to showcase many of their already impressive sustainability initiatives in their inaugural sustainability report in 2017. The reporting effort was underpinned by a management that recognised the opportunities to embed and enhance continuous sustainability-thinking across the group,” said Mr Paul R. Chan, Principal, Capital Governance.
“After the second year of sustainability reporting, it was clear to us that MHAL had a compelling narrative to share with GCNS. MHAL was bringing not only very significant water infrastructure to Indonesia, it was alsotaking the lead in new technology adoption and making very impactful community contributions. MHAL is a shining exemplar of corporate sustainability.”
